ta-scan Testimonials
Dr. Marc Czarka MD, FBCPM, formerly Eli Lilly, Sanofi and BMS and currently Managing Partner of HM3A, a pharmaceutical market access consultancy
MDCPartners asked Dr. Czarka, an experienced pharmaceutical medical director, to review the latest ta-Scan CNS cube for ease of use and scientific validity.
“MDCPartners gave me full access to their data mining tool ta-Scan (CNS cube). I particularly liked the graphic representation which allows the user to transverse from a helicopter view to an exceptionally detailed analysis of key trends and statistics.”
The scope of data reviewed:
- Co-morbidities identified through this approach adequately describe treatment categories and specialties – highlighting drug therapies and concomitant therapies geographically distributed by standards of care.
- The identification of individuals based on their publication footprint and other (including clinical) research activities appeared very complete. I was pleased to find the majority of my peers in the lists of academics and investigators.
- The rich graphic representation of research activity in CNS and the distribution of drug candidates by international recruitment is user-friendly and allows clear understanding of the geographic situation, competitive landscape and – more importantly to me – recruitment hotspots.
- The ta-scan mapping system was a novel experience. Using internet flexible mapping systems and superimposing various layers of epidemiological or clinical data was – for me – very impressive.
“In conclusion, it is my opinion that ‘ta-Scan’ successfully segregates important information from ballast overload and provides deep insights in the CNS therapeutic area by structuring and segmenting the immense pool of available data. I will most probably recommend the use of ‘ta-Scan’ to my clients when planning clinical research, be it before or after being granted marketing”
